Healthy diet (for healthy hair):
Omega-3 fatty acids – Keeps your hair healthy and shiny. I take my flax seed oil every morning to make sure I get enough omega-3 fatty acids.
You can also eat foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids like salmon, mackerel, trout, sardines, walnuts, soybeans, kidney beans, tofu and avocado.
Protein – Eggs, dairy, soy, meat, fish and lentils.
Being a vegetarian (eating a bit of fish and chicken) I eat a lot of lentils, because they are a good source of iron rich protein. I also make sure to get enough vitamin C to help the body absorb the iron.
Vitamin B – Get enough of vitamin B as well. Vitamin B rich foods are whole grain breads and cereals, eggs, cheese, dairy, avocados and legumes.
The best way is to have a balanced diet where you get all the vitamins and minerals.
Natural hair products
Stay away from shampoos containing sulfates and parabens, which can be harsh on your hair. Instead choose natural options with herbs and oils.
Don’t use styling products or dyes containing bad chemicals like ammonia.
I got dry and curly hair, and need good moisturizing products.
My absolute favorite hair products are from Giovanni. The shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair called “Smooth as silk” certainly live up to the name. This is just the best ever hair products I have ever tried! In addition, it’s sulfates free and parabens free.
Giovanni has also got a beautiful “leave- in hair treatment” which makes it easy to comb wet hair after washing it, but it also gives good moisture for your hair. And if you like me got dry hair add a bit of Giovannis “Brazilian Keratin and Argan Oil”.
If you struggle with frizzy hair try Giovannis “Frizz Be Gone”. It really keeps those little frizzy bits down.
If you want you hair to look shiny try to spray a bit of Giovannis “Shine Of The Times” into your hair. Whenever I use this spray people tell me how shiny my hair looks.
Once you have tried Giovannis products, you would not want to use anything else in your hair.
